 Ermes Monitor

“Ermes Monitor” is a platform for monitoring and energy efficiency.
The architecture of the platform is designed for remote and comprehensive monitoring of thousands of photovoltaic systems, large or small, and installations where electrical, thermal, or other types of consumption need to be monitored. Ermes Monitor provides maximum benefits to O&M operators who are responsible for maintaining hundreds of diverse installations and need a single, uniform system to monitor all these installations.
The platform consists of a web application that receives data from our production datalogger installed in the field, which collects data from all the equipment and transmits it to the portal. A native mobile app completes the software developed in this project.

The technology

From a software perspective, the platform consists of:

  • a web application developed in Ruby On Rails
  • an Amazon RDS database
  • a native mobile application for iOS and Android
  • firmware written in C for managing our real-time ARM hardware

You can always view the real-time performance status of each system component. Various status levels visually communicate the system’s performance, which can be categorized as: regular, attention, alarm, blocker, and under maintenance.
By clicking on each device, you can access a detailed section where you can view its specifics and review its history.

L’HARDWARE.

With just one datalogger, it’s possible to simultaneously connect 50 devices, including inverters, string boxes, production/exchange meters, energy meters, or other equipment.

All data is sent to the ErmesMonitor.com cloud via the integrated Ethernet port or optional 4G modem. The datalogger has two expansion slots, useful for a 4G modem or other future expansion modules. It can be easily configured remotely via the web application in the cloud or via the convenient display for Ethernet settings.

This is an industrial device designed and manufactured in Italy.
